Divyanka Tripathi & Vivek Dahiya get married in a traditional ceremony

After lavish pre-wedding ceremonies over the past few days, television’s hottest couple Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya finally got married. The couple took the ‘saat pheras’ (seven vows) on Friday night (July 8) at Divyanka’s hometown in Bhopal.

Divyanka looked drop-dead gorgeous as a bride in a bright red lehenga with golden work and matching jewellery. Vivek looked utterly royal in a white embellished sherwani and bejewelled turban with a maroon stole and matching pocket square.

The groom arrived in stlyle in a vintage car and even danced to the beats of dhol. His bride welcomed him and the couple exchanged the ‘jaimala’ (garland). For the pheras, Divyanka changed into a yellow lehenga as per the traditions.

Several pictures of the newlyweds have been shared on social media by their fans, and the couple looks adorable.

The wedding was not star-studded as the couple’s friends from the telly world could not attend owing to the distance. It was attended only by family members and relatives. Post the wedding, a reception will be held at the groom’s place in Chandigarh on Sunday, July 10, where Divyanka will wear a royal blue gown. The couple will also throw a reception in Mumbai on July 14 for their friends and colleagues from the television industry who missed the wedding.

Divyanka and Vivek have taken a short break from their work for the wedding. The duo became close while working on the popular TV series ‘Ye Hai Mohabatein’ of which Divyanka is the lead actress. Vivek also features as the lead in the fairly new supernatural series ‘Kavach - Kali Shaktiyon Se’. A graduate from Cardiff University, UK, Vivek had worked in the corporate sector before entering the glamour world.
