Dilwale trailer: Shah Rukh and Kajol’s love story has a dark past

The official trailer of the much awaited Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer film ‘Dilwale’ is fnally out. The Rohit Shetty directorial brings together the hottest on-screen pair of Bollywood after a gap of five years. The film also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon among a host of other casts.

The three-minute-long trailer opens on a romantic note with a young looking Shah Rukh and Kajol. Shah Rukh’s voice says, “dil to har kisi ke paas hota hai, lekin sab dilwale nahi hote,” which sets the theme of the film.

Soon the trailer cuts to action and comedy. Varun and Kriti make an entry amidst swanky cars, Rohit Shetty style and they look amazing together. Johnny Lever, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani and Sanjay Mishra excellently pull off the comedy.

The first half of the trailer is all about love, romance and comedy, but it is not a simple love story as Shah Rukh says “hum shareef kya hue, puri duniya badmash ho gayi.” He is then seen brandishing guns and firing shots from moving cars.

The second half of the deals with what went wrong in the love story of Shah Rukh and Kajol’s characters 15 years ago. The actor’s words “15 saal, 4 mahine aur 10 din” and “dhoka mere saath hua hai, jo karna hai main hi karunga” reveals this. In between there's a glimpse of Kabir Bedi and Vinod Khanna pointing guns at each other.

The strong bond and love between Shah Rukh and Varun Dhawan who play brothers, is evident when the former says, “baat jab bhai ki hoti hai toh dimag nahi, sirf dil kaam karne lagta hai”, while, Varun also is seen telling his girlfriend that no one is above his brother.

The trailer is interesting with the beautiful locations and Rohit Shetty signature action stunts. It also has a romantic song in the melodious voice of Arijit Singh playing in the background.

Towards the end, in an extremely romantic set-up, Shah Rukh tells Kajol, “dobara apna chehra mat dikhana, jaan le lunga” which will make the viewers desperately wait for December 18 when the film releases.

Shah Rukh is at his romantic best and heroic in action, while Kajol looks even more gorgeous. It is not even 24 hours, but the trailer has already garnered over 1.35 million views.

The trailer was launched at a grand event in Mumbai on Monday, November 9, by Rohit Shetty along with the entire cast of the movie including, Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever, Boman Irani and Sanjay Mishra.
