Dilip Kumar to be discharged today
Thespian Dilip Kumar will be discharged today. He was
admitted to Lilavati hospital after he suffered a massive heart attack. His
manager Murshid Khan informed about his discharge few days back.
"Dilip Kumar is absolutely fine and he will be discharged tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon," Murshid Khan told IANS. Dilip Kumar thanks all for their best wishes and prayer. He was in the ICU and veteran actress and wife of Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu was by his side. She updated about Dilip Saab’s health.
"He has to overcome the problem and it will take some time. But he is recovering. This morning he got up and had tea. He needs to rest. I thank all the fans and well wishers for their prayers and request them to continue with it," Saira Banu told . She also informed that he will be discharged soon.
Dilip Kumar continues to remain in the ICU but his condition is stable. "He (Dilip Kumar) is recovering. He is still in ICU and is under observation... but all is well. There is nothing to worry”, informed sources.
Many well-known celebrities came to see him in the hospital. Among them was megastar and a close friend of Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan visits Dilip Kumar on Monday.
"Out of the ICU, it's good to be in the hospital suite and have
@SrBachchan as a visitor," Dilip saab posted on Twitter along
with a picture of himself with Big B, wife Saira Banu and brother-in-law Sultan
"Mr. Bachchan came to meet Dilip Kumar today around 7 pm. They chatted for around half an hour. As far as Dilip Kumar's health is concerned he is absolutely fine and he now desperately wants to go back home," Udaya Tara Nayar, Dilip Kumar's close friend, told news agency IANS.
Soon after the visit, Mr Bachchan wrote about the visit on his blog. "I had never met him so ... in bed, in hospital, ailing and troubled and harassed by all the medical fuss around him .. Dilip Kumar !! the great thespian, the wonder of Indian cinema, the ultimate performer in my eyes, lying there in Lilavati Hospital, recovering from a recent mild heart attack!" Big B wrote.
