Deepika paints dark for Rajinikanth

To meet the demand of the script, actors have to go any extend. In every film, we got to see fair, stylish Deepika Padukone. Even she is known as dusky beauty, in her movies she doesn’t give her audience a chance to say that she is dark. But in her upcoming film, ‘Kochadaiyyan’, we will get to see dark Deepika Padukone opposite south star Rajinikanth.

A source said, "We're applying a special imported technique to the film wherein the actors' looks, including their skin-tone, has to be compatible. Deepika's complexion is many shades lighter than Rajiniji's. When we suggested that her skin colour should be suitably modified on screen, Deepika sportingly agreed."

Deepika is a true professional and she readily agreed when the makers asked her for dark complexion.

Dr. Murli Manohar, the co-producer told a daily, “The demands and dynamics of the technique known as performance capturing that we are using for the first time in Indian cinema are different. Deepika has an important role and she is completely in-sync with the unique technique and willing to do whatever is required.”

Interestingly, in 'Kochadaiyyan' Rajinikanth will be seen performing a 3-minute “Taandav” . It has been choreographed by the eminent South Indian dance director Shivshankar, the Taandav would have digital impact.

Jackie Shroff will also be seen in an important role in the film. The first look of the film is released where Rajini was seen in the image of Shiva with sword in hand.
