Deepika Padukone turns 28, Bollywood wish the diva
The long legged dusky beauty of Bollywood who proved her acting calibre in just few years of her acting debut has now become a cynosure of everyone’s eyes. She debuted with Kannada film in 2006, ‘Aishwarya. Yes, we are speaking about Deepika Padukone who ventured into Bollywood with ’ Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007 opposite Shahrukh Khan and film turned out to be a blockbuster. Post ‘Om Shanti Om’, she tasted failure with films like,’Karthik Calling Karthik’, ‘Lafangey Parindey’, ‘Break Ke Baad’ but the actress was never short of work. She bounced back with ‘Cocktail’ since then there is no looking back for the stylish diva. Her acting improved with every film and 2013 has become Deepika Padukone’s year with four back to back hit which include, ‘Race 2’, ‘Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani’, ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela-Ram Leela’.
Deepika Padukone, elder daughter of ace badminton player Prakesh Padukone and Ujjala Padukone was born in January 5th, 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark and raised in Bangalore. Deepika grew up to be a badminton player just like her father and she was also a national badminton champion but soon she realized that sport is not her destination. She gave up sports to take up modelling. Today, she is a successful Bollywood actress. Currently, Deepika Padukone has promising projects in her hand and she is now working on Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ with Shahrukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
Deepika is not only the hot favourite of the filmmakers but she is also much in demand in the brand world. She endorses many well known brands.
Like her professional life, Deepika’s personal life has always been under media scanner. She had a publicized break-up with actor Ranbir Kapoor in 2008. After breaking-up with Ranbir, she maintained a cordial relationship with the hunk and also worked with him. She also had a brief relationship with Siddharth Mallya and presently she is rumored to be dating Ranveer Singh.
In the latest interview, she admitted that she feared to commit after the setbacks.
