Deepika Padukone heads to Europe for family holiday

Actress Deepika Padukone has been super busy for a long time. She worked back-to-back in a number of movies. Her recent movies ‘Jeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Chennai Express’ did fabulous business at the box office as both these movies entered Rs.100 crores club.

Deepika Padukone recently wrapped up filming for ‘Ram Leela’. Now she has decided to take a break. She has been thinking of taking her family for a holiday for a long time. Deepika is planning a holiday with her parents, Prakash and Ujjala Padukone and her sister, Anisha Padukone.

Deepika confirmed, “Yes, I have promised them that in the next couple of months - as soon as I am done with my professional commitments, I am going to take a break and go on a family holiday.”

Though Deepika has not decided a holiday destination, she told that a holiday is at least confirmed. Deepika said, “But one thing is for sure, I'm taking time off very soon.”

Deepika feels that she is blessed to have a very understanding and supportive family. They understand her professional commitments.

Deepika said, “In fact, whenever people ask me about them, I always say that they are my strength. They know that I am extremely busy and have no time to spend with them. Still, they have never complained. They understand me well. And I guess that's what the family is meant for.”

Quite some time back, there was news that Deepika missed out on a big project due to her busy schedule. The project was for Vikram Singh’s movie ‘Roy’. Vikram took Ranbir for this movie.

When Deepika was asked about this, she clarified the reason for letting the hefty project go. She said, “If I am letting go of a movie, there might be other reasons. If I really like a script, the producer and I can always work around dates. I have taken up only as much work as I can accommodate.”

Deepika always used to go and meet her parents after the release of her movie. Her parents stay in Bengaluru. But this time, as the actress is busy with her post productions of ‘Ram Leela’, her parents are coming to Mumbai to meet their daughter. An insider said, “This time, she is busy working on Ram Leela, so they will visit her in the city.” For her parents, Deepika is planning to host a dinner party at home. Her close friends and family members would attend the dinner party.
