Deepika Padukone buys new swanky office in Mumbai

Deepika Padukone has purchased a new property in Mumbai. The actress already owns a plush four-bedroom apartment in Beaumonde Towers in Prabhadevi. She now owns an office in the same 33-storey tower that houses her residence, a Mid-day report stated.

The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress has been ranked at number 10 in the Forbes 2016 list of World’s Highest-Paid Actresses with earnings of 10 million dollars. And the leggy lass definitely needed a nice offie space where she can hold meetings for her various film and endorsement projects.

Deepika made her debut among the Forbes World’s Highest-Paid Actresses 2016 and was the sole newcomer and only Indian actress on the list. Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence topped the list for the second year in a row, followed by Melissa McCarthy and Scarlett Johansson occupying the second and third positions respectively.

Deepika’s apartment is at the 26th floor in Tower B of the complex, which she purchased along with her father and former badminton champion Prakash Padukone, a few years ago. Unlike other Bollywood stars who prefer to stay in the posh suburbs between Bandra and Andheri, where most of the studios and offices of production houses are located, Deepika is one of the few actresses who have chosen to stay in central Mumbai.

On the work front, Deepika will soon begin shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Padmavati’, which also stars her beau Ranveer Singh as one of the male leads. She will play the titular character of Rani Padmavati of Mewar, while Shahid Kapoor will play her on-screen husband.
