Deepika, Farhan win 59th Idea Filmfare best actor awards


The 59th Idea Filmfare Awards held at Yash Raj studios in Mumbai on January 24, 2014 and the most prestigious award function saw host of stars and some wonderful performances by the dazzling stars of Bollywood. Hosted by Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor, the evening saw bevy of stars like Salman Khan, Karishma Kapoor, Rekha, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Kajol, Preity Zinta and Sophie Choudry and many more. Sadly, Shahrukh Khan stayed back due to the injury. At the coveted event, Deepika Padukone and Farhan Akhtar were awarded the best actor awards.

Filmmaker Karan Johar and megastar Amitabh Bachchan handed over the lifetime achievement award to veteran actress Tanuja.
