'Dabangg 2' to be screened for the Delhi police

Dabangg 2” has been causing waves in the world of movie enthusiasts as it gears for a release on the 21st of December. The film stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha and is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster “Dabangg”.

The film this time around has been directed by Arbaaz Khan. Salman Khan plays the character of a cop in the film named ‘Chulbul Pandey’ and thus it makes sense for this film to be shown to the policemen.

Revealing a bit about this film Arbaaz said, “You would see a lot of style coming along with the action and it would be in the kind of space that Chulbul Pandey as a character and 'Dabangg' as a brand stand for. Having said that, while action is an integral part of the film, it would be not more than what is necessary. There is a story running behind all the action. You just can't have action and more of action. None of it would hold if there is no emotion behind it; for that you need to have a story in a scene or a sequence.”

Salman Khan will watch this film with five families of police martyrs, who during the Parliament attack lost their lives. Also, Delhi Police personnel who have been applauded for his courage and credible services will be watching this film with Salman Khan before this film gets released.

Rajan Bhagat, who is Delhi Police’s PRO, said that Salman Khan will fly down to Delhi on the 18th of December to pay tribute to the martyrs of police force. An officer said, “The meeting with Salman Khan will be motivational for the force.” Earlier in a similar fashion Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore too had been screened especially for the Delhi Police force’s SWAT (‘Special Weapon and Techniques’).

With “Dabangg 2” release date round the corner, there are speculations going on about a third installment being planned. Salman revealed bits about this saying, “We have our third film ready and it will go back and show how Chulbul Pandey becomes Chulbul Pandey. If the second one becomes a hit, we can go to the third one, which is actually the first one. So ‘Dabangg 3’ will be a prequel."

When Sonakshi was asked about this, and if she would be seen in the prequel she said, "There is a place for Sonakshi in Dabangg 3 as well. She is there, her father is there, but we don't meet."
