Cricket lessons for Akshay Kumar from Nasser Hussain
Good news for Cricket lovers. Nikhil Advani’s ‘Patiala House’ features famous cricketers from India, Australia, and Pakistan and stars Akshay Kumar as a lead role who will be trained by Nasser Hussain, former England captain. Former Cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu who played in 1983 World Cup in Indian cricket team now plays a fast bowler in the film as well as helps Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar’s on-screen coach in the movie, the first English captain of Indian and British parentage, Nasser Hussain will be seen playing the role of his trainer. “It wasn’t easy getting near Nasser, let alone getting him to agree. He has a fairly large acting role in the film. But, believe me, it’s easier to sign the biggest superstars of Bollywood and Hollywood than to try and get star cricketers on board and coordinate their dates. The IPL proved a blessing. Cricketers from all over the world were at our doorstep, plus their managers and co-ordinators.” said Nikhil Advani.
According to sources Akshay will meet Nasser next month in London to learn about fast bowling.
