Complaint against Sunny Leone for singing National Anthem incorrectly

Actress Sunny Leone, who recently sung the National Anthem for a Pro-Kabaddi League match, has got into legal trouble for the same. A police complaint has been filed against the ‘One Night Stand’ actress for singing the National Anthem incorrectly.

The complaint has been lodged by one Ullhas PR at Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar Police Station. The complainant alleged that Sunny did not pronounce certain words correctly. According to him, if someone like Sunny Leone, who enjoys so much popularity, commits such mistakes then it will influence her fans as well. He added that the Indo-Canadian actress should have practised the song well before singing it at the event.

Apparently, Sunny had practised hard and rehearsed the song before singing it on Thursday night before the audience at a Mumbai stadium. Earlier this month, she had shared pictures of her rehearsing at a recording studio on Twitter.

“Went head on w/one of my biggest fears-singing out loud! Spent the month rehearsing! Hope u like it!!” she wrote.

After the event, an excited Sunny had told PTI, “It’s a proud moment for me. I had never ever desired or thought that I would get to sing the National Anthem. I feel blessed and honoured. I was very nervous.”

It may be mentioned that the same person, Ullhas, had also filed complaints against other Bollywood actors as well.  He filed a complaint against Amitabh Bachchan in March this year after the megastar sang the National Anthem before an India Pakistan match at the T20 World Cup, 2016. In August last year, he filed a complaint against actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan for referring to police as 'thulla' in his blockbuster 'PK'. In November 2015, he filed a complaint against the ‘PK’ actor again for “spreading fear” after the actor commented on growing intolerance in the country.
