Parineeti Chopra Sister's Clash Not Happening!
Only when we thought it’s time for yet another Chopra vs. Chopra clash with Priyanka’s ‘Mary Kom’ and Parineeti’s ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ both releasing on 5th September 2014, we were proven wrong!
The news that has been circulating in the grapevine is that ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ has postponed its release date to 19th of the same month. Why all the fuss?! Is it because Parineeti suffers an inferiority complex to her sister? We had always heard that two actresses couldn’t be friends, but could sisterhood too, come in the way of the reel life?
However, on being questioned about the same, actress Parineeti Chopra clarified that she isn’t responsible for the change of dates. “This is the producer’s decision, Adi’s (Aditya Chopra) decision. The marketing team at Yash Raj Films came up with a brilliant marketing idea and they needed time to execute it,” the 25-year-old said on Tuesday at an event.
“A Sep 5 release was very early and even a week’s delay didn’t leave us enough time for the promotional strategy. So, we pushed it ahead by two weeks,” she added. So much clarification..why?! We wonder.
The actress didn’t stop here! She continued on to say, “Why would I tell Adi and why would he listen to me? I don’t have that kind of power and it’s absolutely ridiculous,” Parineeti said and added Priyanka is a senior actress and there cannot be any competition between them.
“She is my sister and I love her. I have no plans to fight with her or compete with her. She is a senior actress and a lot ahead of me, I can never compete with her,” she said.
Parineeti, we would to believe you but Baat kucch hazam nai hui! Anyway, ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ is a romantic comedy directed by Habib Faisal and stars actor Aditya Roy Kapur in the male lead, opposite Parineeti. On the other hand, Priyanka’s ‘Mary Kom’ is a biography of boxer Mary Kom, directed by Omung Kumar.
On another interview, long time back, Parineeti had even said that their families were looking forward to the well-named ‘Chopra Weekend’. Well, we do not know what the true story is, but Pari, you have broken a million hearts for sure.
The two actresses earlier had a release clash at the box-office with Priyanka's ‘Zanjeer’ and Parineeti's ‘Shudh Desi Romance’ hitting the silver screen together.
Nevertheless, much as we love both you girls, all the best for both your movies! As for the fight lovers, maybe next time!
