Chinese actress Zhu Zhu is Salman Khan’s heroine in ‘Tubelight’
Chinese actress Zhu Zhu has been roped in to play the leading lady opposite Salman Khan in his upcoming film ‘Tubelight’. Earlier, there were speculations that either Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif will be cast opposite the ‘Sultan’ actor in the Kabir Khan directorial.
‘Tubelight’ is set in the backdrop of the Indo-China War of 1962 and it was only sensible of the makers to cast a Chinese actor. The shooting of the film is currently underway in Ladakh with a crew of 200 people. The film is said to be is said to be a tale of two brothers played by real life siblings Salman Khan and Sohail Khan. Salman will play a man with special needs, while Zhu Zhu is rumoured to playing his love interest in the film.
Zhu Zhu appeared to be excited to be working with Salman and tweeted, “On top of the palace with Mr #Salmankhan @ Leh Ladakh.” She also shared several other pictures on her Instagram page.
Zhu Zhu is an established actress and has featured in Hollywood movies like ‘Shanghai Calling’ and ‘The Man with the Iron Fists’ and Chinese supernatural thriller ‘Last Flight’. She was also seen in Netflix’s Marco Polo and was a VJ of MTV China.
Salman and Kabir who have previously delivered blockbusters ‘EK Tha Tiger’ in 2012 and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in 2015, are working together for the third time.
