Check Out: Vidya Balan’s weird look in 'Ghanchakkar'

Vidya Balan seems to be riding high on her success these days. Her performance in ‘Kahaani’ earned her a lot of adulation. On the personal front, she tied the knot with Siddharth Roy Kapoor, one of the most sought after names in Bollywood.

Having received the best actress award on most of the platforms, the actress is now gearing up for her next release, ‘Ghanchakkar’. In the movie, her character is that of a Punjabi housewife.

Welcome Nitu Bhatia, the hatti-katti Punjabi housewife, whose fashion sense is absolutely bizarre. The makers and the fashion designers had a tough time on deciding her look, as they wanted it to suit the character. Vidya Balan went on to describe her role in this manner, “She's the sort of woman who goes for a walk one day and feels if you've exercised, there's no harm eating one samosa. Subarna Rai Chaudhari went mad trying to put together the look. What she wears is almost outlandish and even bizarre sometimes... but that's for you!”

Sanjay Dutt was slated to appear for a cameo role in this film, but with the recent court verdict, it seems highly unlikely that he will be able to make an appearance.

Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the film is said to be a quirky thriller. The makers have planned an elaborate event for the music launch. The first song will be launched at the Adam Khan Tomb, which is also known as the Bhool Bhulaiya. They have decided this as the venue, so as to keep it in sync with the genre of the movie. “Ghanchakkar” is about the confusion between the various characters. They want to build on to the mystery and thriller aspects of the movie, so as to garner some attention around the film. They are going all out in planning the promotional strategies, as this is Vidya Balan’s first release after the much successful ‘Kahaani’.

After “The Dirty Picture”, Vidya Balan has been cast opposite Emraan Hashmi once again. They both were very well received by the audiences in The Dirty Picture. After doing some bold kissing scenes in his previous movies, Emraan Hashmi has gone bare bodied in this one. He has been working out hard to maintain himself before the shoot takes place. The film is slated for a release on 21 June, 2013. This is definitely going to be one “crazy” film to watch out for!
