The actress, who lives alone in Mumbai, has hired a sturdy personal security guard to accompany her around the clock. It’s been three weeks now and Jaitley says it has helped her get over her “shaken state.”
Papa to preach

On her way back from Mauritius, her father, Colonel V K Jaitley made it clear that his daughter should get herself a personal guard.

“Initially, I was not open to the idea, as the city is quite safe for women. But considering the raunchy screen image I have, I realised it’s better to be safe than sorry. My brother, Lt Vikrant also called from Kashmir and convinced me,” she says.

Adds Celina, “Most actors in the industry are accompanied by their parents or boyfriends. But I live by myself and my profession demands odd hours. It gives me a sense of security to have somebody around.”

Sentinel search

“My experience left me so paranoid, that it was difficult for me to completely trust any individual. My friends from the fraternity suggested that I hire someone from the security agency run by actor Ronit Roy,” says Jaitley. After a proper brief and much discussion, 26-year-old Yuvraj, a seasoned guard, arrived at Jaitley’s doorstep.

“Thanks to Ronit for arranging everything. During the first week, he called me to ensure that everything was functioning according to my needs.”

Yuvraj, in this profession for four years, says, “It feels great to escort madam. I feel so responsible. I’m trying to do my job to the best of my abilities; my goal is to make her feel safe in public places.”
