Boney Kapoor’s ‘No Entry’ will have a sequel
Boney Kapoor’s latest comedy, No Entry, which was a super hit in 2005, will soon have a sequel to it. The script for the sequel is in the process of development and after that, the cast will be decided upon. No Entry was directed by Anees Bazmee and starred Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Salman Khan, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley, Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu.
Director, Anees Bazmee has confirmed that he will be doing a sequel to the film and that Anil Kapoor will definitely play an important role in the film. However, he does not wish to reveal the story line of the sequel at this point of time as it is still not completed. What he does reveal is that this one too will definitely be a comedy. Anees also claims that the original star cast might not be the same; some actors may be included while some may not. The casting for the film will largely depend on the script.
Anees Bazmee is very proud of his work in No Entry; he claims that the success of this film has rejuvenated his confidence in his own abilities. He also states that he is very selective and takes a long time to choose his scripts. Bazmee adds, “No Entry has proved to the film industry and the audience that I know my job and it gives me a different high altogether.”
No Entry was a situational comedy produced by Boney Kapoor and written-directed by Anees Bazmee. The film stars Anil, Fardeen and Salman who are married to Lara, Celina and Esha respectively. Bipasha Basu plays the tantalizing seductress to all three men in the film. Kishen (Anil) is a businessman and a loyal, devoted husband. But his wife Kaajal (Lara) is constantly suspicious and over-possessive no matter how secure Kishen tries to make her feel. On the other hand, there is his friend, Prem (Salman) who is a complete Casanova. He lives the fast life, squanders money, dates other women and enjoys his drink. His wife Pooja (Esha) is extremely sweet and docile, she blindly trusts her husband.
Sunny (Fardeen) is a photographer and meets the sensuous, Sanjana (Celina) his future wife while she attempts to save him from a supposed suicide. Prem convinces his pal Kishen that there is nothing worth in being loyal; in fact, he uses his own happy lifestyle to set an example for Kishen. He enlists the help of Bobby (Bipasha) to seduce Kishen. But before Kishen can taste the forbidden fruit, he gets embroiled in a drama to deceive his wife, for this, he enlists his colleague, Sunny’s help. Sunny in turn too has to lie to his wife Sanjana. They are now both in a soup, a web of lies and deceit that they spun is now about to unravel their entire lives. Only one man can now save them both, the same man who got them into this situation, the one and only Prem. No Entry was a laugh riot, the comic timing of all the actors was exceptional and even the script was well written.
Anil Kapoor who will be part of the sequel exclaims, “It is a very interesting development and we all are very excited about the sequel.” The sequel of No Entry will go on the floors around June. Let’s wait and watch if the sequel will be as successful a comedy as No Entry was.
