After SRK, Boman Irani gets threat call from Ravi Pujari
Bollywood actor Boman Irani received threatening calls from underworld don Ravi Pujari. He was given police protection following the threat. Boman who is waiting for the release of his next film, ‘Happy New Year’ lodged a complaint with the police and was given police protection.
A source from Mumbai Police confirmed the news and told IANS: "Yes, we are giving protection to Boman Irani from Friday."
Last week, Morani brothers were also threatened by the gangster. Few
gunmen allegedly fired outside their residence. Following the incident, police
protection was given to superstar Shahrukh Khan because King Khan is a close business
associate of Morani Brothers. Two days later, Pujari made a call to the
superstar’s production house Red Chillies and passed on a message to the actor.
It is known that Mr Morani had received threatening calls from the underworld don as he wanted a share of the revenue from international distribution rights to a new Shahrukh’s upcoming film, ‘Happy New Year’.
'Happy New Year', directed by choreographer turned filmmaker Farah Khan stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan apart from Shahrukh Khan and Boman Irani. The film is slated from diwali release.
