If there is one thing we have come to realize about our Bollywood stars, it is the fact that they leave no stone unturned when it comes to getting a fit body or keeping it fit. So, to what extent have our favourite stars gone to get and keep that fabulous body? Here is a compilation!
1Aamir Khan: There is no way people are going to forget Aamir Khan’s look in Ghajini. It took the star around 13 months of daily training to get those sculpted 8 pack abs that were the talk of the town when the movie released. His regimen included more than a 1000 ab crunches per day. This man seriously deserves more respect for this!
2.Kareena Kapoor: When Tashan released, Kareena Kapoor became one of the most controversial actress. Her figure was called “anorexic” or “size zero” by a lot of people. Well, technicalities aside, Kareena did look stunning in this movie! She had lost all the fat that was pulling her down and according to her, she did it purely through a combination of power yoga and a good diet!
3.Priyanka Chopra: Dostana showed us a Priyanka Chopra braving to show her sculpted body in scenic Miami beaches. Of course she was not going to do something like that with extra fat on her body! This is why she hit the gym with dedication and managed to wow the audience with her body!
4.John Abraham: Dostana was not only famous because of Priyanka. In fact, what drew most women to the movie was the promise of John Abraham doing a little peekaboo act. He was already well known for his sculpted body, but this movie certainly did take it to a whole new level!
5.Sanjay Dutt: Agneepath required Sanjay to be muscular, which, unfortunately, he was not. Marital bliss had made him succumb to that extra pudgy weight all actors dread. But he was not one to back up from a challenge. He got in touch with Salman, a good friend (and clearly, a workout master). Salman put him on a diet and training regimen and the results were open for the world to see!6.Arjun Rampal: Ra One was certainly not a very pleasurable movie to watch. But in the hullabulloo around the movie, most people forget to notice how much Arjun Rampal’s body had improved since his last movie! Arjun did not only do weights, cardio and altitude training, he also took up Tabata, a high intensity training circuit developed in Japan.
7.Vidya Balan: She is certainly the most different entry on this list. As an actor, you never know what role you could land and how you might have to develop your body. This actress put on around 10+ kilos to play the role of Silk, the sexy South Indian siren. Her body and the confidence and sensuality with which she carried herself certainly won over a lot of hearts!
8.Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu and Hrithik Roshan: Dhoom 2 filled with eye- candy! Bipasha Basu certainly sculpted her body to do her famous bikini scene in the movie. Hrithik Roshan has been one of the fittest stars in the industry, but he had never looked better in a movie, especially with his bronzed, sculpted abs. Aishwarya was probably the most notable transformation because she lost a ton of weight (and unsightly flab) to do this movie!
