Bollywood debutantes of 2012
Bollywood sees new faces every year and this influx of new talent has always been steady. This year too has been no different. Let us take a look at some of the fresh faces of Bollywood that made a mark of their own.
Ayushmann Khurana- On April 20th the film “Vicky Donor” released. Apart from the fresh concept that it offered the male lead was the star of the film. Ayushmann played the role of a Delhite effortlessly and nailed his act by a brilliant performance. He is good-looking and is very talented, a mix that is not easily found in the debutantes.
Yami Gautam- The female lead of ‘Vicky Donor’ had been Yami who did full justice to her role. She had to enact the role of a demure but independent and strong-minded today’s woman and played it naturally.
Arjun Kapoor- He is the son of Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona Kapoor. He shot to fame with the film “Ishaqzaade” that starred the one-film old Parineeti Chopra. He showed his dancing ability and impressed one and all with his acting prowess.
Varun Dhawan- He is the son of director David Dhawan. He made a debut into films with “Student of the Year”. This Karan Johar film had two other newcomers, but he still made his mark with his acting talent. He played the role of a spoilt brat with superb confidence and only improved with every scene. His dancing skills too did not go unnoticed in the film.
Siddharth Malhotra- He too made his debut with “Student of the Year”. He played the character of a man of very few words in the film but his intense emotions and amazing screen presence helped him give a performance that would be remembered.
Alia Bhatt- She is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan. She played the role of a classy and stylish girl who left no chance to even flaunt her riches. She played her part well and won the hearts of her fans with her naivety and cuteness.
Diana Penty- She made her presence felt among the likes of Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in “Cocktail”. She played the role of the ‘good’ girl, but her smouldering emotions did it for her.
