Bollywood celebrities and their adopted children
A child is one of the most precious gifts from almighty. Having a child is a very rewarding experience for parents. A number of Bollywood celebrities have adopted kids and provided love and affection to them.
Film maker Subhas Ghai has an adopted daughter, Meghna. He took care of her and initially kept her away from media. He maintained a low profile as far as her daughter was concerned. She is the daughter of Ghai’s youngest brother. He then sent her for higher studies in London. Now she is looking after his acting schools and production house, Whistling Woods.
Salim Khan, father of Salman Khan, adopted a baby girl, Arpita, when she was two years old. Now, Arpita is a grown up lady and is often spotted in celebrity functions and social dos. She often accompanies Salman for his court hearings.
Actor Rahul Bose has adopted six children from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He runs a charity organization in Andaman and Nicobar which works for underprivileged kids. He has got all his six kids admitted in Rishi Valley School in Andhra Pradesh.
Choreographer Sandip adopted his son, Arjun in 2007.Though his wife, Jesse Randhawa was initially against adoption, she later agreed. Arjun is now five years old and fondly calls her mom ‘pumpkin’.
Preity has adopted 34 orphan kids from Mother Miracle School, Rishikesh, in 2009. Whenever she gets time, she goes to Rishikesh and meets her kids. She looks after their education, food and upbringing.
The director of movies like ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’, ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’ and ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ in real life was very clear about his ideas and wanted to adopt a baby girl. Last year, Dibanker and his wife Richa brought home a cute baby girl from an orphanage and named her Ira. They both are very fond of her. After Dibanker comes back home, he spends time with her baby.
