Big B takes on Shilpa

One may wonder why a prominent figure like Amitabh Bachchan may think to take a sweet revenge on Shilpa Shetty. From decades, the Bachchan family had not only been the face of Bollywood but represents India in the west too. With Shilpa Shetty’s entry into reality show, Big Brother in UK, Shilpa snatched away all the limelight from Amitabh and Aishwarya. When Shilpa’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar publicly admitted for the first time that Shilpa was indeed facing racism in the show, he created a gigantic hype for her in UK media. Shilpa’s victory in the reality show made her a queen in UK. She was spread all over in UK which to some degree threatened the existence of the Bachchans. Soon Shilpa replaced the Bachchans.

It doesn’t end here. Soon after the reality show, the IIFA event took place and unfortunately that too in UK. Till then Shilpa Shetty became a well known face in UK. Amitabh Bachchan who is the brand ambassador of the event felt ignored as Shilpa drew all the attention. During the event, a fan of Shilpa flew a mini plane with a huge banner greeting Shilpa. Throughout the show, the Bachchans maintained distance from her.

That Amitabh Bachchan had not yet forgotten the embarrassment was quite evident when Big B accepted to host the reality show Bigg Boss which used to be Shilpa’s territory and that too after hosting king of all shows like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
