Big B's condition stable

The prayers of all his well-wishers has shown fruitful results. Amitabh Bachchan who has been admitted to hospital on his 66th birthday following acute abdominal pain is responding to medicines. His condition is stable now and he hopes to get discharge from hospital within day or two. "He has had a restful night and the tests do not show any abnormality", said Dr Narendra Trivedi, vice-president of the hospital, in an official press statement issued early Sunday morning.

He further said, "The tests do not suggest any abnormality. Under the circumstances, medicines have worked. He has responded well to our line of treatment and will be discharged in a few days." Horde of Bollywood celebrities and industrialists visited Mr Bachchan at Lilavati Hospital. His son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and daughter Shweta are with him in the hospital.

Huge crowd of fans gathered outside the Lilavati hospital with an aim to get a glimpse of their superstar or to get some piece of news of his well-being from his family and medical officials. In hospital too, Big B is keeping contact with his fans though his blog.
