Big B discharged from hospital, heads to Jalsa

After spending a week long in Lilavati hospital, legendry actor Amitabh Bachchan got discharged on Friday morning. As he was on bed, thousands of well-wishers offered prayers in temples. They all concerned about his health and prayed for his speedy recovery. Dressed in white pathani suit and dark glasses as Mr. Bachchan stepped out of the hospital door, he waved his hands to the thousands of fans and journalists who were gathered outside the hospital to welcome Big B. He was driven in his Land Cruiser by son Abhishek Bachchan. He was admitted during his 66th birthday and returning home on the auspicious occasion of Karwa Chauth.

He was treated for incisional hernia and was living on liquid diet. Amitabh has been advised to take 3 weeks of intense bed rest and not to put much pressure on his health, "Doctors attending to him did their final check up this morning so that they could prescribe whatever medication he has to take and allowed him to go home," Dr Naredra Tiwari, vice president Lilavati hospital told reporters.

As Big B fell sick, many Bollywood celebrities, industrialists and ministers visited him in hospital. Abhishek and Aishwarya were supposed to be in Kerala for Mani Ratnam's Ravana but due to Amitabh's poor health, they cancelled their shooting.

The Shahenshah of Bollywood was in constant touch with his fans through his blog posts and last night he thanked them for their support and prayers.
