Barbara speaks out how she beats cancer
Not few people know that ‘Kites’ sensational Barbara Mori is a cancer survival. She slowly has been recovering from the dreaded disease. She is on the way of recovery and soon going to be a part of the documentary on cancer titled '1-a-Minute' made by actor cum director Namrata Singh Gujral. Barbara Mori has been diagnosed with cancer at the early stage and is now cured. Mori is glad being approached to be a part of the noble project. She quips, “dream is to see a cancer- free world and I will do my best to support as many programmes as possible to tackle cancer". The documentary has been made to raise funds to support the survivors of cancer.
During the making of ‘Kites’, Mori bonded with Anurag Basu because he too was diagnosed with acute leukaemia while making 'Tumsa Nahin Dekha'. Both shared their experience of survival. Cancer survival model and actress Lisa Ray, Grammy Award winning singer actress Olivia Newton- John, Jaclyn Smith of Charlie's Angels fame, Melissa Etheridge of An Inconvenient Truth fame and veteran Indian actress Mumtaz will be a part of the project.
Politician Priya Dutt's mother Nargis died of cancer and she too will speak her experience. American actor Kelly McGillis will be the narrator.
