Bachchans exert a pull on Ash

Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya RaiBy now everyone knows how fond father Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek are of Aishwarya Rai.
While Abhishek has worked in a couple of films with her where they played the romantic leads (Dhai Akshar Prem Ke and Kuch Na Kaho), the senior Bachchan laments that so far Aishwarya and he have only been paired as siblings (Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin) and father-daughter (Mohabbatein).
All that is about to change. For the first time, the two Bachchans have got together with Bollywood's resident queen Aishwarya for a sizzling qawwali in Shaad Ali's Bunty Aur Babli.

The man to manoeuvre this mind-blowing coup is none other than the reclusive Aditya Chopra who personally convinced Aishwarya on behalf of his parent-banner Yashraj Films to do the prestigious item song.

Aishwarya herself is no stranger to item songs. She did the sizzling Ishq kameena with Shahrukh Khan in Shakti for which Boney Kapoor paid her a whopping amount of money.

It isn't known how much Yashraj Films has offered her. But the banner's reputation and the bait of the Bachchans in a double-bill did the trick.

Besides, Aishwarya was also offered the tempting lead opposite Hrithik Roshan by Yashraj Films in the sequel to Dhoom. It was an offer she couldn't resist.

According to Abhishek, "The song for Bunty Aur Babli composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy is mind-blowing...just about among the best work the trio has done. I can't wait to get into the groove with Pa and Ash."

Incidentally Abhishek shot nights for most of January for Bunty Aur Babli.

"My clock has gone haywire. But hey, I'm really enjoying this film. It's got a great energy. And with Pa around I've to be on my toes constantly."

Adds Aishwarya, "It'll be lots of fun...full on!"
