Ashutosh Gowariker stars in Priyanka Chopra's ‘Ventilator’
National Award winning filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who acted in many television shows and movies during the 1980s and 90s, has made a comeback to acting after a long gap. The ‘Mohenjo Daro’ maker will be seen playing a key role in Priyanka Chopra’s Marathi production ‘Ventilator’.
Priyanka, who is currently in the US shooting for her TV series ‘Quantico 2’, released the firstlook and teaser of her production ‘Ventilator’ on Friday. “Proud to present the first look of #Ventilator...@PurplePebblePic 's debut Marathi production! Out in theatres Nov 4," Priyanka tweeted, along with the URL to the teaser of the film.
‘Ventilator’ has been written and directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, who had earlier directed Sharman Joshi-starrer ‘Ferrari ki Sawaari’. The film follows the story of a man named Gajanan, who because of serious health issues is attached to a life-support ventilator, and the comical situations that arise among his extended family back in Kolhapur, how they land up in Mumbai and how the farce ensues.
It is said that Priyanka will also be making a guest appearance in the movie, and she had shot for the portion for a couple of days before leaving for the US. However, there is no official announcement regarding the same yet.
‘Ventilator’ is Priyanka’s third production. She made her debut as producer with Bhojpuri film ‘Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi’ and has also produced a Punjabi film titled ‘Ek Onkar’.
