Asha Bhosle's daughter admitted in ICU

Legendry singer Asha Bhosle celebrated her 75^th birthday with her two sons and daughter Varsha yesterday. Just after a day of celebration, her journalist daughter Varsha consumed an overdose of sleeping pills. Immediately, her family members rushed her to Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai at 4.30 a.m. She was admitted in an ICU.

Commenting on Varsha’s deeds, a senior police officer said, "It is not a suicide attempt. She took an overdose of some medicine. She is now in the ICU." Though hospital authorities deny to give any information on Varsha’s condition, Col M Masand, CEO of Jaslok Hospital, issued an official statement saying: "We confirm that Varsha Bhosle has been admitted to Jaslok Hospital and is under Dr J D Sunavala’s care. We are committed to providing the patient with the best possible medical attention. Since we value our patients’ privacy, we are unable to comment further at this juncture."

Varsha is a journalist and she is divorced from her husband for quite sometime.
