Artist MF Husain passes away in London
Renowned artist Maqbool Fida Husain died of a heart attack at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London at 2:30 am local time on Thursday. He was 96. When he was alive, he very often hit the headlines for drawing controversial pictures. After he received threats from several Hindu groups for the ugly depiction of Hindu god and goddess he was in self imposed exile.
Remaining in self exposed exile since 2006, Husain was offered citizenship of Qatar in January 2010, where he was residing. He was termed as `Picasso of India` by the Forbes Magazine.
