Arjun Rampal never mind breaking diet while on vacation
Arjun Rampal is one of Bollywood’s hottest as well as fittest men. The 41 year old model turned actor is a fitness fanatic in personal life and looks several years younger. According to him fitness should be a necessity that pushes you to maintain yourself. Although he generally maintains a diet, Arjun is not at all averse towards breaking the rules sometime and indulge in culinary delights.
The actor is currently busy with the film ‘Roy’ which also features Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez. However he is planning a short but exotic holiday with wife Mehr Jesia and daughters, Mahikaa and Myra. In a statement, Arjun Rampal discussed about the upcoming vacation without actually revealing the final destination. He said, “I like London and New York for their cosmopolitan character and Paris because it is modern and ancient at the same time…I want to travel for a month’s vacation to these countries and savour the delicacies. I don’t mind breaking my diets to try out the local culinary treats there.”
Arjun is said to have a great metabolism which prevents him from putting up weight easily. This way Arjun can easily be a man of different ‘tastes’. When he is not on a vacation, Arjun prefers a simple yet substantial eating habit. Normally he consumes all major food groups. When it becomes necessary to look a leaner, he reduces the carbohydrate intake. His normal breakfast consists of egg whites, cereal followed by papaya. He takes a simple lunch of rice, daal and vegetables. Dinner mostly consists of Soup and salad. Before working out he eats banana so that his energy level stays upwards. He feels that going to the gym is not essential if you take part in games like tennis, football and cricket. In his younger days Arjun was an athlete and he even represented the state of Tamil Nadu in 400 meter run. Years later he is still fit enough to put many younger guys at shame.
Arjun made his debut in 2001 with a critically acclaimed performance in the film, ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat ‘. For the next few years, most of Arjun’s films were box office failures but he delivered multiple critically acclaimed performances. The 2006 film ‘Don’ with Shahrukh Khan proved to be a breakthrough for him and there was no looking back. Since then he has been part of major hit films like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Rock On’ ‘Housefull’ and ‘Raajneeti’.
