Arijit Singh to collaborate with Salman Khan for a new song?

The Arijit Singh-Salman Khan controversy has taken a new turn after reports surfaced that the Singer has decided not to lend his voice for the superstar ever.

It all started when Arijit’s version of a song was dropped from the final soundtrack of Salman’s ‘Sultan’. A fall-out between the two during an awards function in 2014 was said to be the reason. The ‘Gerua’ singer then publicly apologised to the actor for any offence he may have made unintentionally, in a long Facebook post.

However, things didn’t work out despite Arijit’s earnest efforts, and the makers of ‘Sultan’ roped in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the song while Salman too crooned a version himself. Thereafter, reports claimed that Arijit was annoyed with the actor’s attitude and has decided not to apologise to the star any further and has no wish for any reconciliation.

Now, a report in India Today claimed this to be untrue and quoted Arijit as telling the publication, “This is absolutely untrue. Who said so? I will be singing a scratch for him (Salman) again. Very soon.”

In an interview, Arijit revealed that the incident was in February 2014 when Salman hosted the Star Guild Awards and Arijit blamed the actor for making him fall asleep due to his dull hosting. In response, Salman mocked the singer saying it was all thanks to his song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ which got people snoozing.

Arijit said that Salman might be upset about his remark and hoped that the actor will "forgive" him someday.

During a promotional event of ‘Sultan’ in June, Salman had reacted on the controversy saying, “In every movie, there are lots of singers who are replaced. People come and sing. It’s directors and producers who then make the choice that who would be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine as well. My voice was also rejected. They shouldn't be upset, its life."
