Arbaaz Khan not to direct ‘Dabangg 3’, says brother Salman Khan

Arbaaz Khan who debuted as director with ‘Dabangg 32’ will not be directing the next instalment ‘Dabangg 3’, but he will continue as the producer of the franchise. This was revealed by his brother Salman Khan himself on Tuesday at a promotional event of ‘Tubelight’.

Salman said that Arbaaz doesn’t want to direct ‘Dabangg 3’ and they will find a “good director” for it. Arbaaz has directed only one movie, while Sohail Khan has directed films like ‘Auzaar’, ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Hello Brother’, ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna’ and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer ‘Freaky Ali’.

Both Salman and Sohail have been busy promoting their forthcoming film ‘Tubelight’, and during the media interaction the ‘Sultan’ actor was asked about his favourite director between his two brothers. To this, Salman replied, “Since Arbaaz doesn’t want to direct, I feel Sohail is a better director because he is more patient, and with Sohail, you can improvise on things but in a similar situation, Arbaaz gets panicked and his blood pressure starts to fluctuate.”

“Now we are going to start ‘Dabangg 3’, so he (Arbaaz) told me ‘Very good, but I am not going to direct it and I am only producing it’. So I said, ‘Very good, we will find a good director for that’,” Salman added.

Speaking about ‘Tubelight’, Salman said that the Indo-China War has been used as a backdrop in the film to show that war should end as soon as possible so that soldiers from both countries could return to their homes, because whenever war happens, soldiers on both sides die and their kids or parents live their whole life without them.

Directed by Kabir Khan ‘Tubelight’ tells an emotional story of a man with special needs and his special bond with his brother. Also starring late actor Om Puri, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child artiste Matin Rey Tangu, the movie is set to hit screens on June 23.
