Anushka Sharma gets emotional on 'Bombay Velvet' set
Anushka Sharma wrapped up Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ shoot with cake and champagne and she turns emotional on the last day of the shoot. ‘Bombay Velvet’ is a semi-fictional study of Bombay in the 1960s by eminent historian and Princeton University's history professor Gyan Prakash. The film is based on Mumbai Fables.
A major part of the film was shot in Sri Lanka and after the shoot got over, the entire team of ‘Bombay Velvet’ gathered to cherish the moment with a bottle of champagne, a bunch of flowers and a cake with a message that read: “Thank you Rosie. All the best to our singing star”, said a statement.
Anushka Sharma plays a jazz singer in the film. It took nearly one and a half years to complete the shoot. Ranbir Kapoor is playing the make lead. Recently, Ranbir’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ look leaked on net.
Soon after wrapping up ‘Bombay Velvet’, Anushka headed to Jodhpur for his maiden production NH10.
Anushka took to twitter to express her emotions.
Wrapped #BombayVelvet last night. Highly emotional moment saying bye to the best crew and cast. This is a very special film for me ...
Apart from Ranbir and Anushka, the film also stars Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu in the supporting roles.
The film is slated for Christmas release.
