Anupam Kher launches acting school in Britain


Anupam Kher at Haath Se Haath MilaaTo learn acting is no more impossible for the young generation of British Asians as the most distinguished actor of Indian cinema Anupam Kher has launched an acting school named ‘Ealing Institute of Media’ in Britain.

The institute is a branch of Anupam Kher’s acting school launched in Mumbai in 2005. At Ealing, the students will get to learn every techniques of acting. It can be regarded as the entry point of Bollywood. Film is a vast subject and the institute will teach them every angle of it. Speaking on the occasion, Ash Verma, Chief Executive of Heathrow City Partnership said that the students interested in acting will benefit from it.

Ash Verma said, "Ealing has so many talented and creative people from different backgrounds, especially Asian as well as Indian youngsters. I really wanted to bring the best of Indian and UK education training together in this creative sector. Actor Prepares was the key." Anupam Kher signed the collaboration with Heathrow City Partnership, Ealing Hammersmith and West London College. The institute assures quality education to students. The enrollment fee is 6000 pounds and it will start with 60 students. The session will start from September 2008. The two leading actors Upen Patel and Katrina Kaif also hailed from Britain and are presently doing great in Bollywood. Now, we can say that Bollywood is not far for the British Asian communities.
