Amitabh becomes Asia's sexiest vegetarian male

Distinguished actor Amitabh Bachchan is 66 years old but he is still fit and fine and acting in films like before. His energy level is commendable and he has the capability to compete with any actors of today’s generation. The reason lies behind Amitabh’s energy and fitness is his vegetarian food habit and strict exercise regime. For his rigorous diet and his inclination towards vegetarian, he has been voted as Asia’s sexiest vegetarian in a survey conducted by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta).

Hong Kong's singer-actress Faye Wong has been voted Asia's sexiest vegetarian female while other runner-ups being Taiwanese drama star Barbie Xu, Hong Kong actress Maggie Q and Cantopop singer and actress Stephy Tang. PETA Asia-Pacific director Jason Baker says, "Going vegetarian is the best thing you can do for animals, the earth and your health. Plus there's no easier way to stay slim and sexy - and Faye and Amitabh are living proof."

Outside Asia, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, pop star Leona Lewis and camp British TV host Russell Brand are among the celebrities who polled most votes as sexiest vegetarians.
