Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan to star in ‘Dabba Gul’

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Varun Dhawan might share screen space for the first time if things go as per plan. According to the latest buzz, Pradeep Sarkar has zeroed on a film, titled, ‘Dabba Gul’ to be produced by Yash Raj Banner. Earlier, the director planned a movie sequel to Rani Mukherji starrer, ‘Mardaani’ but later he planned to make ‘Dabba Gul’.

Amitabh has already given his nod but the makers are waiting for Varun’s consent before making it official. Due to packed dates, Varun Dhawan is finding difficulty to give dates for the film.

Says a source, “Big B has given his nod to the film. Varun has also been approached, but he is yet to confirm his presence, given his packed diary. Yash Raj is known to wrap its projects in secrecy, so those associated with the project have been asked to keep mum until he is officially on board.”

Big B shares a great rapport with the Dhawan family. In the past, the megastar starred in Varun’s father David Dhawan’s movie ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ (1998) and ‘Hum Kisise Kum Nahin’ (2002).

Meanwhile, Big B has been roped in for Yash Raj production venture titled ‘Thug’, to be helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. He referred ‘Aamir Khan and Big B combination as 'cool coup’.
