Amitabh Bachchan undergoes an image makeover

For decades, Amitabh Bachchan has been entertaining audience by playing different characters. Every time, he has faced the camera, he has brought freshness to the character played. It is this acting prowess and the vivacity that he brings to his character that Big B is one of the most sought after actors.

Once again the veteran actor has experimented with his looks and his role. He took to social networking site Twitter to inform his fans about his new look. Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “There is a ‘ninja’ in my soup .. naaah ! Just a campaign for a product.” 

In his twitter message, Big B was referring to a ad campaign that he is doing. In the campaign, Mr. Bachchan will be seen in a cream colored outfit, a cloak and long locks. He will also be seen wearing spectacles. In a photograph released from the campaign, Amitabh Bachchan is seen waving his cream colored cloak. His tresses are carelessly held at the back of his head. He is seen adorning peppered locks.  

Last month at the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2013, Amitabh Bachchan was honored with the Star of the Millennium award. The 71 years old actor won this award for his role in ‘Satyagraha’. After the event got over, through his blog Amitabh Bachchan told that he was embarrassed when audience stood to honor him. He wrote, “The audience stands for me...So embarrassing to be in front of them. I quickly gesticulate to them to be seated...some did, others did not...still embarrassing.”

Recently Mr. Bachchan also made his International debut with Hollywood movie ‘The Great Gatsby’. The movie is directed by Baz Luhrmann. Hollywood ace actor Leonardo DiCaprio has shared screen space with Big B in this movie. Leonardo was immensely impressed by the acting skills of Mr. Bachchan. Talking about Big B, Leonardo said, “Mr. Bachchan impressed me immensely by not just his talent and his ability to act, but what a gentleman he was. I was honoured to work with him. It was great seeing that enthusiasm he brings to even the smallest of roles and I’d love to work with him in the future.”

In this movie, Big B plays the character of Meyer Wolfsheim. It is a $125 million project and is being produced in 3D. The movie is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel.
