Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya bond at the music launch of Guru
‘Guru’ by Mani Ratnam is a keenly awaited film, as it stars the currently most happening couple Ash and Abhi and it also supposed to be based on the successful industrialist late Dhirubai Ambani’s life. The latest trend is to have something different while launching the music and in keeping with this trend, Guru Music launch had Ash and Abhi the lead actors of the film and along with them Amitabh Bachchan was also invited to be part of the event. Amitabh, Abhishek and Ash were extremely comfortable with each other and looked like one happy family.
Several well known bollywood bigwigs were present for the event including other directors like Vishal Bharadwaj, Nikhil Advani, Prasoon Joshi, Piyush Pandey, Rohan Sippy etc. The rest of the starcast Madhavan, Arya Babbar and music composer Mani Ratnam and lyricist Gulzar were also present. At the event Amitabh Bachchan was the presenter and even played interviewer to Ash and Abhi and quizzed them about their roles in the film. Big B even asked Ash what she does in the film, to which Ash said “I am a 50 percent partner of Guru.” She also added that she plays the wife of Abhishek in the film and supports him in everything he does. Unfortunately Vidya Balan who also stars in the film and Mallika Sherawat who is doing an item number were not present for the event.
Abhishek was dressed in a black button down Indian style black suit with his hair gelled back and held in place by a hair band. Ash dazzled the crowds in a traditional off-white sari and Big B opted for a sober black suit. Another surprise guest at the event was Preity Zinta who came to show her support for co-star Abhishek and was also seen in a black dress. According to some rumours Ash made an entry along with Big B and Abhishek who had picked up the actress from her home. Abhishek and Ash were recently seen together in Umrao Jaan and will soon be seen in Dhoom 2 and also Guru. While Umrao Jaan received a mediocre response, we hope that their other films receive a much better response.
