Alvira, Arpita, Iulia reach Salman’s residence post acquittal
Salman Khan walked free in chinkara poaching cases and he thanked his fans for all the prayers. Rajasthan Court yesterday acquitted Salman in this 18 years long poaching case.
Justice Nirmaljeet Kaur pronounced the verdict giving the Bollywood superstar “the benefit of doubt,” a PTI report stated. The Court had reserved its decision after completing the hearing in last week of May.
Cases had been registered against the ‘Sultan’ actor under section 51 of Wildlife Protection Act for poaching of two chinkaras in village Bhawad on September 26, 1998 and one in Mathania (Ghoda Farm) on September 28, 1998.
Salman was accused of killing the endangered animals, along with seven others including Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Bendre, when they were shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s 1998 film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ in Rajasthan.
The actor didn’t even have to present himself at the court. Khan is currently holding just one case i.e. the Black Buck case. “We will study the court order today and then the forest department along with the law and home departments will decide on the appeal in this case,” said Raj Kumar Rinwa, Rajasthan’s Forests and Environment Minister.
To celebrate Salman Khan’s victory over the long pending case, his family members thronged Galaxy apartment. His sisters Alvira and Arpita Khan Sharma arrived along with baby Ahil. The actor’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur too reached the Khan residence.
“Thank you god for always showering us with your grace and blessings. Today
is a big day for us ... Salman Khan. Thank you to all bhais and the family’s
well-wishers for your prayers, support, love and best wishes. This wouldn’t
have been possible without you [sic],” Arpita posted on her Twitter page.
