Alia Bhatt, SRK give first glimpse of ‘Dear Zindagi’ in Twitter exchange

Ever since it was announced that Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan will be sharing screen space in Gauri Shinde’s next, there has been a lot of speculations surround it. From the title of the film to Shah Rukh’s role and his equation with the ‘Udta Punjab’ actress.

Now, in an interesting Twitter exchange, both the actors have confirmed the title of the film to be ‘Dear Zindagi’.

Shah Rukh’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment, which is co-producing the film with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, shared the film’s first look on its official Twitter handle. The picture has an excited Alia checking out her phone, while Shah Rukh with a smile is seated beside her looking at her.

“She has a lot of questions. He has all the answers. Here's the 1st look of #DearZindagi, releasing on November 25!” the caption with the first look picture read.

Before that, Alia tweeted a picture of herself with Shah Rukh giving it an artwork effect using Prisma app. The picture read ‘Dear Zindagi, is it okay to not be okay?’ She shared it with the hashtag ‘#DearZindagi @iamsrk.’

To this, the ‘Dilwale’ actor shared the same picture with the caption, ‘Dear Alia, See the Sun is up. The sky is kinda blue. Sort of beautiful. So it’s ok if you are not ok. As long as you take care of one person..And that one person is you.’

Alia’s next tweet read, ‘Dear Zindagi, There’s only one thing that keeps me from tearing my boyfriend into half… I don’t want two of him around!!!’

‘Dear Alia, I am so proud that you are dealing with your emotions so maturely. Also have a feeling that Animal (struck off) Human Rights Activists may not approve…,’ King Khan responded.

In a thanking tone, Alia replies, ‘Dear Zindagi, Oh this is great…What would I do without you. I have so many questions, do you have all the answers??

Shah Rukh answers, ‘Dear Alia, Not all the answers, but I can give it a shot. Penning in your appointment on 25th of November (this year). My office is next to a theatre near you.’

The Twitter conversation between the two actors gives an indication to what the tone of the upcoming film could be. Alia seems to have a lot of questions and Shah Rukh is the one who answers her queries and advices. It is assumed that Alia’s character expresses her emotions to Shah Rukh’s character through letters or SMSes.

It is Gauri Shinde’s second directorial after the critically and commercially successful ‘English Vinglish’ in 2012. She had earlier clarified that the film would not be a “typical love story.”

The movie went on floors in January this year and will hit theatres on November 25.
