Akshay Kumar’s pouty selfie with ‘Dishoom’ co-star Saqib Salem

Akshay Kumar’s cameo appearance in recently released ‘Dishoom’ was one of the biggest highlights of the John Abraham and Varun Dhawan starrer film. The ‘Khiladi’ Kumar played a gay character named Sameer Gazi and pulled off the role with style.

Actor Saqib Salem, who played the pivotal role of kidnapped cricketer Viraj Sharma in the movie shared a selfie with Akshay on his Instagram page on Sunday and called it the “talk of the town.”

“The selfie that's the talk of the town.. Such an honour to have worked with my fav superstar @akshaykumar,” the ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ actor captioned the selfie.

The selfie is fun-filled with Akshay pouting as Saqib looking at him with a nervous expression. The duo seems to be in their film’s character look as the ‘Airlift’ actor has his man-bun on, while Saqib is seen wearing a blue jacket with a logo resembling that of the BCCI.

Audience have loved Akshay’s special appearance and his role in the action-adventure-comedy flick and Twitter is filled with compliments for the actor.

According to a popular entertainment site, Akshay’s homosexual character in the film had to be toned down as the film was shot in Abu Dhabi where homosexuality is illegal. Respecting the country’s laws and in order to avoid any unnecessary trouble, the makers had to tone down the character and there is only a slight reference about Akshay’s character being gay in the film.

Directed by Rohit Dhawan, ‘Dishoom’ also featured Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna, besides Nargis Fakhri and Parineeti Chopra in special appearances.

Meanwhile, Akshay is gearing up for his next film ‘Rustom’ which is slated to hit screens on August 12.
