Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra in Kjo’s ‘Brothers’

For the first time the Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Karan Johar teamed up for a project tentatively named, ‘Brothers’. The film will see Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra playing brothers. The film will hit the theatres on Gandhi Jayanti, 2015. Filmmaker Karan Johar announced his next production with Akshay Kumar.

The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez as the female lead. The film will be directed by Karan Malhotra. Karan made his directional debut with ‘Agneepath’ in 2012 starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra.

"Dharma Productions, Lionsgate, Endemol India present ‘BROTHERS’ directed by Karan Malhotra and starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff. Releasing Oct 2nd, 2015," Karan Johar posted on his Twitter page Thursday.

The film will also have Jackie Shroff playing pivotal role. Akshay Kumar announced the film with Karan on the social networking site.

Currently, Akshay is busy with the post-production of 'Shaukeen' remake and his Kabaddi team.

Meanwhile, Johar will start working shooting for 'Shuddhi' with Salman Khan.
