Akshay Kumar's underwater stunt

After a long hiatus, action hero Akshay Kumar is back again with his stuntman image. For quite sometime, Akshay was out from his action role and played mostly romantic characters. His comeback is going to be terrific. He is doing a challenging underwater sequence for Percept Picture Company’s 8X10.

The scene is going to be very tough as Akshay will be fighting with his co-star underwater. Basically in Hindi cinema such type of risky scene is played by an expert stuntman and not by the hero himself. But Akshay was not at all interested to use stuntman for that particular scene and tried all by him.

This underwater scene is not very tough to shoot and for that he has undergone a special training in Bangkok. He even perceived a paddy instructor’s certificate which qualifies him as an underwater swimmer. “The scene is a highly adventurous sequence in deep waters and the actor is tied up in chains”, says Shailender Singh, Managing Director of Percept Picture. The underwater sequence was shot by director Nagesh Kukunoor at a pool in Chembur last week. Therefore, we can expect to see some action scenes from Akshay in the coming days.
