Akon to sing for Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Tum Bin 2’?

Popular American singer-rapper Akon is likely to collaborate once again with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha for a track in the upcoming film ‘Tum Bin 2’. The film starring newcomers Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati, is a sequel of the director’s 2001 sleeper hit ‘Tum Bin’.

Akon had forayed into Bollywood by lending his voice to the chartbuster ‘Chammak Challo’ in Anubhav Sinha’s 2011 film ‘Ra.One’. And if all goes well the singer might lend his voice for ‘Tum Bin 2’ as well.

According to a report, the hit number ‘Tumhare Siva Kuch Na’ from ‘Tum Bin’ starring Shandali Sinha, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Himanshu Malik, will be recreated and used as the end credit song in the sequel.

Composer Ankit Tiwari will be recreating the romantic song which will also feature Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, while Akon will sing the hook line in Hindi. The American singer will soon fly down to Mumbai to record the song. The video will be shot in India at a vintage property in October, the report stated.

“It’s too early to divulge any details as we are in the primitive stages of discussion. However, it is true that we are looking at roping in a top grossing international artiste to feature and collaborate on this song but we have not yet finalised on anyone as of yet. We have already roped in West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo to feature in one of the songs called ‘Jaeger Bomb’ with Ankit Tewari,” the director said in a statement.

Anubhav Sinha announced the sequel of ‘Tum Bin’ in March this year, fifteen years after the first film released. He has also written it and is jointly producing it with Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. Shot in Scotland, ‘Tum Bin 2’ is set to hit the screens on November 18.
