Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ trailer to be unveiled on Aug 7 in Indore

Ajay Devgn’s magnum opus ‘Shivaay’ is one of the highly-awaited films of the year. While the release of the movie is still a little over two months, the trailer will be out in a couple of days. The grand trailer at almost three minutes and forty seconds, will be unveiled in Indore amidst a huge fanfare.

Ajay has been building up the anticipation levels for the trailer launch by sharing posters from the film on his Twitter handle. The actor had also held a preview screening of ‘Shivaay’ trailer for family and friends recently.

“Just finished the family & friends Shivaay trailer screening. Can't wait to launch the Shivaay Trailer on 7th Aug in Indore with fans,” Ajay had revealed on the micro-blogging site.

Citing a source present at the preview, a popular publication revealed the highlights of the trailer. “The opening shot, which is also Ajay’s introduction shot, shows him imprisoned and then immediately looking at the camera. His intensity works magic in that scene. He has also shot some breath-taking mountain shots and action scenes,” the source was quoted as saying.

Ajay, who is both producing and directing as well as acting in the film, cleverly avoided giving any hint about the film’s plotline in the trailer, which focussed more on the jaw-dropping action sequences and spectacular visuals.

There would be a second trailer launch closer to the film’s release which will reveal the storyline, the source mentioned the ‘Singham’ actor as saying. However, the villain won’t be revealed in either trailer.

‘Shivaay’ is Ajay’s second directorial venture after his 2008 movie 'U Me Aur Hum'. The film stars yesteryear actor Saira Bano’s grandniece Sayyeshaa Saigal, Polish actress Erika Kaar and British child artiste Abigail Eames, among others. There are also brief glimpses of Sayyeshaa and the child in the trailer, the source said.

The trailer will also be attached with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ which hits screens on August 12.

The film went on floors in early November last year in the hill town of Mussoorie and its adjoining cantonment Landour in Uttarakhand, and then in Hyderabad. Major portions of the film was shot in Balkan Mountains of Bulgaria under extreme conditions.

The movie is scheduled to release on October 28 and clash with Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
