Aishwarya to star in Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’


According to the latest grapevine, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will make her comeback with Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’. The news was confirmed by Sanjay Gupta himself on twitter.

"Yes guys it's true. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play the dynamic female lead in my action/thriller 'Jazbaa'," Gupta who directed films like ‘Kaante’, ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ tweeted.

Aishwarya's official spokesperson also confirmed the news.  Aishwarya who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Guzaarish' in 2010 was also approached by ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar for his directional venture ‘Happy Anniversary’ starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sushmita Sen. The film is said to be based on anatomy of marriage.

It was also rumoured that Aishwarya has been signed by Mani Ratnam for a thriller which also stars Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu in the male lead.

Mani Ratnam’s wife Suhasini unofficially confirmed the news saying the film will go on floor in June and if everything goes as per plan then possibility is high that Ash might be a part of the Tamil-Telugu bilingual. Superstars Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna will be playing the male leads and Shrui Hassan is playing the other lead actress. An Iranian actor and Pakistani actress may also join the team. Aishwarya and Abhishek worked together in Mani Ratnam's 'Guru' which was a blockbuster.

There was also report that she has been signed by the director of ‘Chandramukhi’ and ‘Chinna Thambi’, P.Vasu. In this Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Ash will enact the role of a Kalari fighter.

When P.Vasu narrated the script to the former beauty queen, she was highly impressed and showed keen interest to be a part of the film though she has not signed on the dotted line. For this special film, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will undergo rigorous training.

"Aishwarya was really impressed with the script. She will be seen in a never seen before powerful role. She will essay a Kalari fighter in the film and for the same she will undergo special stunt training," Vasu said in a statement.

Ever since her first child Aaradhya is born, Ash took a break from her career and totally concentrating in bringing up her daughter. Now that Aaradhya is bit grown up now, Ash is planning to resume work.

The former beauty queen and Bollywood actress never shied away the possibility of returning to silver screen but there has been no any official confirmation from her side.

Well, her fans are waiting ardently to see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan again dazzles on the silver screen.
