Cannes 2013: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's style diary
Aishwarya Rai is the face of India on the international platforms and correctly so. Her glamorous appearances on the red carpet of the 66th Cannes film festival are the testimony to the fact. Aishwarya was recently under lot of criticism for gaining weight post her pregnancy. She is a proud mom of a beautiful baby girl, Aaradhya Bachchan. The former miss world is an icon of beauty and her glamorous appearance on the red carpet is sure to silence her critics. Her impeccable dressing sense and style has also helped to win hearts at Cannes.
Aishwarya almost looked like a Greek goddess in her free flowing teal Gucci Premiere gown that was one shoulder. The sea blue colored dress with silky glittering finish is a sure shot eye grabber. She tied up her hair and put it as a neat bun on top of the head that gave her a very stylish look. She wore fruity pink lip color which made her appearance vibrant. As she went for the premiere of the movie ‘Cleopatra’, she herself looked no less stunning.
During the premiere of the movie ‘Blood Ties’, Ash decided to dress up in Indian attire. She wore a shoulder to floor length white dress that had intricate colorful work of embroidery. The dress was the creation of famous famous Indian designers Sandeep Khosla and Abu Jani. The anarkali dress did turn heads at Cannes. Though the attire revealed the cleavage of Aishwarya, it couldn’t highlight her curves. Ash looked a bit dull in the dress.
Earlier Aishwarya donned the ethnic wear of Indian women, the legendary saree in the 66th Cannes film festival. Her black saree with royal golden embroidery was designed by the talented designer Sabyasachi. She wore the lehenga saree during the premiere of ‘Bombay Talkies’. Her golden hair accessory also superbly complemented her attire.
Aishwarya bowled out her fans with her styling during her portrait session at Cannes. We almost went down the memory lane as the diva looked her younger self again. She was wearing a perfectly fitting shirt, trouser and waist coat. All her dresses were in black and she wore a bright red lipstick that defined her looks. The dress well defined her curves and she looked a lot slimmer.
It seems Aishwarya is fit for a comeback. We wonder when we
can catch her on the big screen again.
