Aishwarya asked to lose 6 kgs

Aishwarya Rai is one of the most beautiful women in the world. The actress has several bollywood as well as international films on hand. However after marriage, Ash has decided to become even more selective with the kind of films she accepts. Ash will now also be seen in South director Shankar's mega budget film, Robot opposite South superstar Rajnikanth. According to sources, director Shankar has also asked Ash to lose around six kgs for the film. Hence Ash has gone on a strict diet and is working out rigorously to lose weight for the film. 

There has been a buzz that director Shankar had approached Aishwarya Rai to play the female lead for his mega budget film, Robot. But earlier sources had claimed that Ash had turned down the film. However it seems like Ash is still very much a part of the Rs. 100 crores film. A source claims "Director Shankar has asked Ash to lose weight for Robot. Ash needs to look thin and fit as she will be performing some action sequences in the thriller. Shankar has asked Ash to lose around 6 kgs for the film." Ash is an extremely dedicated actress and hence is taking the task of losing weight for her film quite seriously. She has hit the gym with a vengeance and is also on a diet of soups and salads. Ash's diet also consists of healthy food like sprouts and juices. Aishwarya is slated to act opposite one of the biggest South superstar's Rajnikanth. It will definitely be interesting to see this pairing on-screen.  

Director Shankar has made several big films in the past and hence there will no doubt be huge expectations from this film too. Director Shankar was earlier keen to cast bollywood stars like Shahrukh, Aamir etc for the male lead in Robot, but things did not work out and he decided to cast Rajnikanth. Robot has a unique storyline, wherein a scientist builds a robot for his physically challenged child, but later the scientist is forced to destroy the robot when it goes on a violent spree of killing people. Ash was recently seen in Jodha Akbar where she had put on a bit of weight for her role as Jodha bai. But now she is busy shedding the weight for Robot.
