Aishwarya, Rahman to blaze the stage at ISL 2 opening ceremony

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who will soon be on-screen after a gap of five years in the upcoming release ‘Jazbaa’, is all set to enthral spectators with her dance moves at the opening ceremony of the second season of the Indian Super League (ISL) football tournament.

The gorgeous actress will be perforforming to a medley of her songs and her act will be choreographed by ace choreographer Shiamak Davar. Aishwarya’s spokesperson confirmed this to a news agency.

The former Miss World will be seen dancing to a medley of her various hit songs including ‘Crazy kiya re’ (Dhoom 2), ‘Dola re’ (Devdas) and a song from ‘Robot’. A track from her comeback film ‘Jazbaa’ titled ‘Aaj raat ka scene bana le’ sung by Badshah and Shraddha Pandit, has also been incorporated, the movie’s director Sanjay Gupta revealed.

‘Jazbaa’ which also stars Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi among others is set to hit theatres on October 9.

Music maestro A R Rahman will also be reportedly performing at the ISL 2 opening ceremony along with his choir. An official announcement regarding the list of performers will be released soon, a leading daily reported.

The second season of the tournament will kick-start on October 3 at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The first match will be played between defending champions Atletico de Kolkata and Chennaiyin. Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan is a co-owner of Chennaiyin franchise along with Vita Dhani and cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The diva has reportedly agreed to perform onstage as a gesture of cheering for her husband’s team.
