After Vidya Balan, now Zarine Khan down with dengue

After Vidya Balan, actress Zarine Khan has become the latest victim of dengue. The ‘Veer’ actress was diagnosed with the vector-borne disease and is recuperating at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra.

According to media reports, on Monday evening (September 19), Zarine was returning from Pune when she started feeling weak and had high fever and body ache. She was immediately rushed to the hospital where she got admitted. She was diagnosed with dengue on Tuesday evening and has been put on a liquid diet.

She is on the path of recovery now, but the date of her discharge from hospital has not been revealed yet.

Last seen in revenge drama ‘Hate Story 3’, Zarine is currently working on Ananth Narayan Mahadevan’s ‘Aksar 2’.

Last week, it was reported that Vidya Balan was down with dengue. The disease was diagnosed just after she returned to Mumbai after shooting for ‘Kahaani 2’ in the U.S.

Vidya resides in a building named Parineeta on Juhu Tara Road, which was found to have mosquito-breeding spots in an inspection conducted by the insecticide department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). While no breeding sites were found in her home, two sites were found in the residences of her two neighbours, including actor Shahid Kapoor. The BMC has served notices to them for failing to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes in their homes.
