After 'Taare Zameen Par', Aamir Khan set to direct again
The glorious run of ‘Dhoom 3’ at the box office hasn’t yet showed any sign of slowing down and Aamir Khan is back on the headlines with the news of his next directorial venture.
Aamir Khan’s first directorial venture was ‘Taare Zameen Par’ in the year 2007. The film dealt with the story of a dyslexic child. The film not was not a commercial success but was also applauded by the film critics. The film also went on to win the coveted national film awards. This strongly established Aamir Khan as a director of high caliber. The fans expected more films to be directed by Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan.
Now Aamir Khan has started thinking about his next directional venture. Aamir’s brother Faisal Khan, who reads the scripts for the actor, has helped him zeroed in on a beautiful script to make a film. Speaking about this, Aamir said, "Yes, I do have a script that I want to direct. The script that my brother Faisal found for me - because he reads scripts for me - is beautiful. I've bought the rights and kept it aside and will make it at a future date."
Aamir also confirmed that he has already bought the right of the script but that is all. He haven’t yet planned the nitty gritty of the film and doesn’t plan to start shooting for the film soon. Aamir states, "I'm very clear that I don't want to direct right now, because I feel that (now) I'm peaking as an actor, doing work that's exciting me and I don't want to stop that growth. I don't want to put a curb on it.”
After the success of ‘Dhoom 3’ Aamir Khan is at present busy with his next upcoming film ‘P.K.’. Therefore interests were high to learn whether he is planning to start his project after ‘P.K.’. Answering this question Aamir said, "No, right now I'm only concentrating on my work as an actor, so I won't be doing it after P.K. It takes me 2-3 years to direct a film, which means not acting for that much time. Already my fans complain about the low frequency of my films, so I can't be directing now, but I will eventually."
We are sure that the next directorial venture of Aamir will be just as spell binding. We look forward to learn more about the script soon.
